Basset Baby Cribs - The Collection
Bassett cribs have a simple though very distinctive style, evoking an American cottage or New England look. The names of the collections bring to mind this sense of time and place: American Home, Cottage Pine, New Haven, Timber Creek and others.

A very popular convertible Basset baby crib is the Cottage Pine. It made from solid pine. This is a lovely piece of furniture with a wainscot panel on the headboard. The New Haven baby cribs are very New England in design, made from solid beech with stained beech veneers. It has wainscot paneling on the headboard. The two other panels have the slightest curve and the legs are simple and delicate looking.
The Winsor baby cribs by Bassett are slightly grander affair. They made from pine. The headboard has a rounded top that flattens out on the ends and also has subtle carved detailing. The two front legs taper at the bottom.
The Basset American Home baby cribs are the favorite. They have tall slatted headboard that have straight top. Straight, unadorned lines feature throughout giving them slightly 'Shaker' look. These baby cribs look especially nice when converted to toddler-beds.
Many parents now prefer a more modern look baby crib; companies like Pali Cribs offer these European influenced pieces, using blond wood and subtle finishes. Others still prefer the old-fashioned style but dislike the company's convertible baby cribs because they are too prosaic in style.
